Your first Drupal 6 theme from scratch

On June 26th, 2010 I gave a talk on introductory theming in Drupal 6. I tried to squeeze about 2 hours of content into under an hour's worth of presentation time, but didn't manage to fit it all in. Attached are the slides and the sample code for leisurely perusal.

We went through the building of a theme starting from nothing but stock Drupal 6. No Views, Panels, Zen, or other new-fangled devices. You should know some HTML and CSS, but that's all that's needed. No PHP experience is necessary.
