During much of the day, your computer sits idle, not being used. The World Community Grid is a revolutionary new idea in medical research computation. It basically uses the idle time of thousands of personal computers to do bits and pieces of larger research projects. Now your computer can be put to worthy use, doing research to cure human diseases such as AIDS. The Grid recently completed Muscular Dystrophy and Cancer projects and new ones will be added soon!
HOW!? It's easy ... you simply download a FREE piece of software, install it as a screen saver, and then the Grid automatically sends your computer a very tiny portion of a very large research project. Whenever you are not using your computer and your screen saver kicks in, your computer goes to work. So when you are sleeping, watching TV, listening to the game, or anytime you are away from your computer, your computer is doing research. Whenever you touch a key on the keyboard or wiggle your mouse your computer immediately returns to your use.

If your business or organization would like to become a Partner on the Grid and form its own team, it only takes a minimum of 10 computers, returning a standard licensing agreement, picking a team name and captain, posting an article about the WCG (which IBM can supply) on your website ... and that's it!
