Introduction to CSS - Part 2
Where: Mile High United Way
We're pleased to offer a brand new T4T class! This is the second session in our 2-part CSS series. We strongly suggest registering for the June 16th course along with this one.
Join us for an introduction to the most common tool for designing and laying out web pages: Cascading Style Sheets, or CSS.
This is an introductory class, so we won't get too deep or complicated.
Of course, this is a hands-on workshop, so we will focus on how to:
- Get a little fancier with selectors
- Use the <DIV> tag
- Understand the box model, margins, padding
- Size images and boxes
- Position content
- Float and Clear
- Do lots of other stuff -- time permitting
Our focus in this class will be on acquiring a decent understanding of CSS fundamentals and reasonable command of block elements. To the extent it is possible, this class will be paced to match students' needs, and this exact agenda for this second session will be based somewhat on how far we get in the first session.
Prerequisite: Attendance at Part 1 on June 16th, preferably, or knowledge of HTML and basic CSS at that level.
Fee: $10 for nonprofit staff and volunteers
Instructor: Brian Choc
