Introduction to MS Publisher

This is an entry-level workshop which presumes no knowledge of Publisher 2007.

In this class, you will be introduced to

1. Templates

  • using Microsoft’s predesigned publications to create new publications, identify the different design elements, and modify those design elements to suit your style.

2. Text Boxes

  • how to place text boxes, resize, format, and split them into columns
  • connecting text boxes so text flows from one box to another

3. Pictures

  • adding pictures, moving, resizing, and controlling text-wrap
  • changing the way pictures look

By the end of class, you will be able to put together a publication such as a brochure or newsletter using Microsoft's predesigned publications or from scratch.

Fee: $10 for nonprofit staff and volunteers
