Join us to learn essential technical knowledge for running a nonprofit organization.
Here’s what we have planned:
Google Apps
- What it's designed for and overview of the core services (docs, email, calendar, sites, and contacts)
- Email migration- How to transfer existing information
- User management
Wordpress
- How to set up and manage a website with no HTML
OpenOffice - Your free alternative to Microsoft Office
- How to download and install it
- Basic functionality
- Primary differences between Open Office and Microsoft Office
Other applications depending on class participants
- Mint (finance tracking)
- ManyMoon (project management)
- GIMP (image editing)
- Media players (Songbird)
And after all of that, if we still have time, we'll sneak in a little about Google Voice and Windows 7.
Fee: $10 for nonprofit staff and volunteers
