Join us to learn essential technical knowledge for running a nonprofit organization.

Here’s what we have planned:

Google Apps

  • What it's designed for and overview of the core services (docs, email, calendar, sites, and contacts)
  • Email migration- How to transfer existing information
  • User management

Wordpress

  • How to set up and manage a website with no HTML

OpenOffice - Your free alternative to Microsoft Office

  • How to download and install it
  • Basic functionality
  • Primary differences between Open Office and Microsoft Office

Other applications depending on class participants

  • Mint (finance tracking)
  • ManyMoon (project management)
  • GIMP (image editing)
  • Media players (Songbird)

And after all of that, if we still have time, we'll sneak in a little about Google Voice and Windows 7.

Fee: $10 for nonprofit staff and volunteers
