Introduction to Image Manipulation
Where: Mile High United Way
Requests for Adobe Photoshop classes are very frequent here at T4T Colorado. While we still aren't able to offer a Photoshop class*, we’re happy to offer the next best thing: GIMP. That’s the GNU Image Manipulation Program. GIMP includes most of the same features as Photoshop with one big difference: the price. GIMP is free. That means you can come to class, learn the program, then go back to the office and download it. For free.
Here’s what you’ll learn:
- Layer Management and editing
- Resizing, scaling and cropping images
- Color level and image contrast manipulation
- Tool familiarity and basic use
Most of the steps taught in our 2-hour course will be identical to steps used in Photoshop. So if you already have Photoshop installed, you can feel comfortable registering for this class.
*We aren't able to offer Photoshop courses because we don’t have access to a lab with the software installed. Do you know of an available lab? Please let Andy know.
Fee: $10 for nonprofit staff and volunteers
Instructor: Robb Neumann
