Escape the PowerPoint Rut!
Where: Mile High United Way
PowerPoint isn't your only option for presenting content to an audience. Why not make it much more engaging and interactive? Join us to learn about Prezi, a free, web-based tool for creating engaging presentations. It is an alternative to PowerPoint that uses a map layout and zooming to show contextual relationships between items and ideas.
Click here for an example of a typical Prezi used for non-profits.
This hands-on introduction will present all of the concepts you'll need to begin creating your own Prezis.
Learn how to use the Prezi Editor to easily add text, images, and video. Learn how to use the Zebra tool to quickly control the size, orientation, and zooming layout of your Prezi. Finally, use the Path tool to connect the pieces of your Prezi into a coherent, attractive product.
Time will be provided for exploration. Bring your organization's images or video if you'd like to use them in a Prezi.
As interest allows, we will see an example of how to embed a Prezi in a website or blog and how to download your Prezi for offline presentations.
Fee: $10 for nonprofit staff and volunteers
Instructor: Craig Magtutu
