In today’s business world, managers and IT professionals must constantly grapple with changing business etiquette and acumen. Visiting professor Phyllis Krupkin, PhD in Organizational Behavior will be presenting a full-day conference on the use of capital letters in business correspondence. Dr. Krupkin hails from the greater Ottawa area and has earned critical praise for her presentations on “Saying NO to Lower Case,” and “Why Hygiene Doesn’t Matter.”

For this conference, Dr. Krupkin will examine insights from several recent University of Ottawa business effectiveness studies. Expect to leave the conference with new skills in:

  • Utilizing capital letters to emphasize words, paragraphs, and entire letters
  • Reading between the lines – how to overlap words and use even larger fonts
  • Maintaining critical hardware (how to fix a broken Caps Lock key)
  • Quick alternatives to the Caps Lock key – using one of two available Shift keys

Plan to attend this April 1 conference from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in the Colorado Springs Budget Inn conference room. Cake and pie will be served. Registration is $6.50 in advance, or $7.25 at the door.
