Nonprofit spotlight: Teaming for Technology Colorado

Our Mission: To empower Colorado nonprofit organizations to effectively use technology to further their missions.

We Serve: Colorado nonprofit organizations and their employees.

Brief History: In 1997, Teaming for Technology (T4T) began as a national partnership between IBM, United Way of America, and the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) to help nonprofit organizations across the country "get more out of technology." IBM provided operating funds and computer hardware to distribute to nonprofits; United Way provided office space, administrative support and community connections; and CNCS provided AmeriCorps VISTAs to staff the program. Today in Colorado, T4T operates as a partnership between IBM, Mile High United Way, and Pikes Peak Partnership.

Proudest Accomplishment: T4T has distributed more than $580,000 worth of new IBM/Lenovo computer hardware to Colorado nonprofits through our TechLaunch grant.

Greatest Need: T4T's effectiveness relies on two factors: tech-savvy, yet patient volunteers and actively participating nonprofit employees.

Future Plans: In addition to continuing to offer computer training classes, T4T plans to offer free tech consulting and troubleshooting services to qualified nonprofits.
