A hands-on exploration of data constructs, form development, querying, and reporting. This class is only open to attendees of the Beginning MS Access class held November 27th, 2007 or with approval from the instructor.

Come and learn how to a navigate the basic structure of Microsoft Access 2003/XP and discover how to leverage this powerful tool. We will learn how to access tables, forms and reports. This class depends on a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and at least some knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Do you have lists of names and addresses that you would like to be able to make labels from ... or do even more? This class will help you learn to use Microsoft Mail Merge with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook. Please bring any questions or challenges you may have regarding merging so we may address them. Feel free to bring an address list to work on as well, if you like.
Often, organizations try to organize data in Excel spreadsheets. Perhaps it's only a handful of addresses, maybe a short list of volunteers, or even just some office equipment. As needs grow, however, that short list quickly becomes long, and a handful becomes a hundred! When Excel becomes ungainly and unmanageable, a more robust Access database is often and ideal solution. This workshop delves into the migration from Excel to Access. Bring your own spreadsheet and begin the process immediately, or work with our sample files.
Are you interested in more effectively presenting your information? Want to create zing and make your content come to life meaningfully? Learn how to integrate Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, pictures, and even video and animation into PowerPoint presentations to most effectively deliver your message. This hands-on how-to session will include dos and don’ts appropriate for both live presentations as well as print and email distribution.
This workshop assumes no knowledge of mail merges! All you need is a basic understanding of how to use your computer and the ability to operate Word and Excel at a beginner level. Mail merges are easy and immediately useful.
