Letter from the Editor
What’s the plan?
Over the coming weeks and months, I plan on giving away computer equipment, books, software, and related resources. There will not be a lengthy grant process or restrictive criteria, and applying will be exceptionally simple.
The first give-away is a copy of the book, Podcasting: The Do-It-Yourself Guide by Todd Cochrane (List Price $19.99). Podcasting is an amazing opportunity for nonprofits. If you’re not at least listening, you’re missing out, and I’d love to hear about the first Colorado nonprofit podcast.
How does it work?
To get your name in the hat, do one of two things by July 15th:
- Send me an email and tell me about your favorite, interesting Internet tool. An awesome site for nonprofits, a nifty little utility, a Web 2.0 opportunity, a Firefox extension, or whatever.
- Post a reply to this letter, online, and give me a suggestion, constructive criticism, or other comment.
It’s that easy.
Anyone who is somehow affiliated with a nonprofit organization is eligible: volunteers, employees, friends, etc. If I receive 10 or more entries, I’ll add a second, similar book to the queue. Enter as often as you like (provided you have something to say!). The recipient(s) will be randomly selected on July 15th. By the way, if you really have no interest in Podcasting, I may have a few other book options available so let me know.
Thanks, and good luck,
Brian
Brian Choc is the Boulder Community Relations Manager, Webmaster, Newsletter Editor, DBA, and general Tech Guy for T4T Colorado. Brian is also tired.

Jott
I just found a new online tool called Jott. Jott lets me call a number and send notes to myself and others when I am away from my computer that are digitally transcribed and emailed to me or others. I can also listen to my Jotts on the online interface. For those on the road a lot this a great tool. Right now it is in beta but it looks very good and its FREE.
Peace,
Steve
Come on CO NPOs
There are so many nonprofits in the Denver/Boulder/Colorado Springs area and pooling resources is a great way to help our orginizations become stronger and a stronger NPO community as a whole is good for our orginizations and Colorado. Brian and T4T are giving away free resources to the community and trying to help you grow. Responding to this with a link that I am going to share in my next post is quick and painless and helps all of us in the nonprofit world and could win you or your orginization some cool stuff.
Peace,
Steve Kessler
