New! Google Checkout for Non-Profits

Have you heard the news? Google Checkout for Non-Profits was launched on September 27th, creating a fast, easy and secure method for people to support non-profit organizations like yours.

Google Checkout for Non-Profits is completely free to the organization accepting donations--at least until 2009. Checkout for Non-Profits is open to all U.S. IRS-certified 501(c)3 non-profit organizations and, as Google points out, your supporters can be assured that 100 percent of their donations go directly to you because Google doesn't charge anyone any fees.

Checkout for Non-Profits simplifies the donation process by not only allowing donors to complete a donation using only their Google login, but also by tracking individual giving. As Brett Meyer with NTen asserted, "Because Google Checkout can be used in parallel with your current online donation system, there's no reason not to give it a look." Non-profits already using Google Checkout include the March of Dimes and the William J. Clinton Foundation. Be the first in the Front Range to take advantage of this cutting-edge resource.

To sign up, go to Google Checkout and click the "Sign up now" button. Follow the prompts to complete your online registration and be sure to identify your primary product type as "Non-Profit (IRS certified 501c3)" under the Settings tab. Then email (checkout-nonprofit@google.com) or fax (1.888.522.6614) a copy of your IRS 990 form and merchant ID to Google. Once registered, you will be able to stick a Donation Button on your website and start accepting donations via Google Checkout.
