New T4T Program Director

Andy's mugGreetings from the Program Director desk at Teaming for Technology! I've been on the job for over three weeks now, so it's about time to officially say hi.

This is actually my second stint with the program and I’m thrilled to be back. My first experience with T4T was back in 2001 when I joined the team as an Americorps*VISTA member. It was one of the best years of my life. I loved being introduced to so many nonprofit organizations performing vital work in our community and I loved living in Colorado.

Since my VISTA year ended in 2002, I’ve been fortunate enough to spend time here in Denver at Mile High United Way with the eCommerce team; then over the Atlantic to Northern Ireland working with Habitat for Humanity for a year; back to my home state of Minnesota to work at Best Buy’s Headquarters as a Corporate Trainer; and most recently as the Program Director at a local nonprofit organization called Leader’s Challenge.

I’ve arrived back at T4T during an exciting time. We’re getting very close to announcing the recipients for the 2008 TechLaunch grant provided by IBM. There’s nothing better than starting a new position and getting to give away new computers! We’re also continuing to add a variety of new tech-related courses and events to our calendar.

I’m very excited to be back and I look forward to meeting many of you in the near future.
