NTEN Publishes CRM Satisfaction Survey
Here at T4T we answer a lot of tech-related questions, but two of the most common questions we are asked are: Do you recommend a method or tool for sending out enewsletters? and Do you recommend a specific CRM?
Simply stated, a CRM (Constituent Relationship Management) system is used to track and manage all of an organization's constituents, which broadly includes clients, donors, volunteers, and anyone else with whom your organization interacts. For example, a CRM can be used to track volunteer hours, when and how much donors contribute, and to whom you are sending your newsletter and other electronic communication.
As Ali Levine with NTEN stated, “A constituent relationship management system can be one of the most important tools a nonprofit uses. A good system can help improve staff efficiency, foster better communication with stakeholders, and offer insight into programs by helping to evaluate results.”
On December 11, 2007, NTEN published the results of a survey discussing CRM usage, issues, and recommendations. Over 1,000 responses from nonprofit employees using myriad CRM options are integrated into this report. The results are published in a reader-friendly format online. If you are considering upgrading or switching the CRM system your nonprofit currently uses, take a look at this report to see the recommendations of other nonprofit professionals.
