Shopping Online = Nonprofit Donations

This is a time of year when people spend a fair amount of money on presents for others and perhaps the occasional trinket for themselves. Given the current economic climate, it is probably best not to neutrally shop or, worse, evilly shop; I would instead suggest GoodShop for any last-minute holiday purchase needs. Your favorite nonprofit will earn money with every online purchase ... and free money is certainly something any nonprofit can use more of right now.

“The hottest places in Hell are reserved for those who in time of moral crisis preserve their neutrality.”
– Dante Alighieri, on “GoodShop.com”

With GoodShop.com, consumers can help their favorite causes by shopping at their favorite online retailers. The shopping experience and the prices are exactly the same as going to the retailer directly, but by clicking through GoodShop.com first, up to 37% of the purchase price is donated the user’s favorite cause. Give without losing; It's a win-win!

You can use more than 900 of the top Internet retailers and travel sites - including Amazon, Target, Apple, Macy’s, Best Buy, Orbitz, Staples, and others - through GoodShop.com to donate part of every purchase to your favorite charity or school. If your favorite nonprofit is not yet registered, you're of course welcome to support your second-favorite nonprofit: T4T. As a nonprofit, signing up is quick and easy. If your nonprofit is signed up for GoodSearch, it's especially easy, since you're already in!

In the last year, Teaming for Technology Colorado has raised over $13 with no less than two active supporters (and, actually, no more than two, either). If your organization has more than two people who would be willing to click through GoodSearch when they shop online, you may do much better.

But whether it's $1 or $10,000 ... why should any nonprofit leave money on the table?
