A follow-up to our ever-popular "Intro to Image Manipulation" course!

This will be a class for those already experienced in image manipulation. Our Intermediate course will center on the use of layers. Class participants will:

  • Learn how to divide an image into smaller pieces for even more flexibility in enhancing an image
  • Learn how to use layer types to enhance images
  • Experiment with combining images and pieces to create new, composite images

Fee: $10 for nonprofit staff and volunteers

Definitely one of the most popular classes we offer here at T4T. This course will be taught using a program called GIMP. It includes most of the same features as Photoshop with one big difference: The price. GIMP is free. That means you can come to class, learn the program, then go back to the office and download it. For free.

Here’s what you’ll learn:

  • Layer Management and editing
  • Resizing, scaling and cropping images
  • Color level and image contrast manipulation
  • Tool familiarity and basic use
